VLASIS VLASIDIS, Greek-Romanian Relations during the Cold War
The object of this publication is to focus to the Greek-Romanian bilateral relations during the Cold War, focusing not on the state, but on the individual and the societal levels. The main sources for this article are the Service of the Diplomatic and Historical Archives of the Greek Foreign Ministry and the General Archives of the Greek state in Thessaloniki. The main issues were the status of Romanian communities in Greece after the end of the WWII and the closure of the churches and schools, the compensations for the Greek properties confiscated in Romania, the Romanian fugitives in Greece, the issue of manning of the Romanian monasteries in Greece, the relations between relatives and families and the chances to study in Romania for the Greeks.
